The morning event, the Team Blitz Championship, attracted only six clubs - eight teams - the lowest ever.Wanstead, however, would have entered two teams as usual had they not been successful in reaching the National Club Major Final, played the same day. It was, however, very exciting with the result depending on the last round matches, Cavendish v Ilford A and Writtle v Barking A. Ilford took the title, breaking the recent domination by Cavendish.
