I am interested that you should enjoy Chessexonline to the full. If you have any problems downloading and accessing the Chessexonline features or have any suggestions for its future development, please email me: Ian Hunnable
What do I require to download Chessexonline? To download and use Chessexonline you will need a pdf reader - I recommend the Adobe Reader which can be downloaded from the button link below - and (optionally) a pgn reader to play through the games on screen. If you do not yet have a pgn reader I now recommend the excellent DGT Chess Theatre program. This is a free download and is well worth having. Follow the download link below.
Chessexonline by post If you know someone who does not have regular Internet access and would like to receive Chessexonline by post, this is still available for the same modest subscription which previously applied to Chessex, £6.00. Print out a subscription form from the Downloads section below, fill it in and send it to me with a cheque for £6.00.

Hunnable Downloads Section Please download and read the ReadMe file (pdf) which gives instructions for the correct method of downloading the Chessexonline files, before downloading Chessexonline. The ReadMe1st file also incorporates the User Guide. Any problems with this, email me: Ian Hunnable Chessexbase - Latest version 2.0 - for details see: Versions blog Now available, the first edition of Chessexbase, the .pgn database of games. Download from the link below. Games included in v2.0 are all the games so far published in Chessexonline, plus the further games from the archive, now including games from Ivor Smith's CHESSEX up to and including Volume 1 Issue 2. To make use of this download, you will need a .pgn game viewer. Fritz and ChessBase are fine. If you have neither of these, and don't have an alternative, see the DGT Chess Theatre download in the next section. DGT Chess Theatre Subscription Form NB Only needed for the printed version by post - subscription £6.00 for one year. (Downloaded Chessexonline does not require a subscription.) Chessexonline by post sub form.pdf (pdf) If
you are unable to download or print this document, email me: Adobe Reader .pdf files (Portable Document Format) require a pdf reader such as the Adobe Reader. Click on the icon below to download Adobe Reader. This is free to download, but its a biggy. For Broadband users, this will be no problem, but for those with a standard 56K modem it will take a long time. Pick a time when your phone line will not be in demand or, better still, use a download manager which will enable you to split the download over several sessions. You only have to do the download once and it is worth it. |
