The change of Controller reflects the outcome of the May 2011 GPC meeting when member Clubs indicated the wish to have a Controller with email contact.

Principles for the 2011 Knockout
- Preferred means of communication: email, website and blogsite;
- All entered teams receive a directory of team captains and contact details (email);
- All teams play in R1;
- There will be a Plate Competition;
- R1 of the main competition is seeded;
- Venues will be balanced as far as possible to achieve an even spread of homes and aways;
- Round dates (inclusive, but provisional): R1 by 15 July, R2 by 12 August, SF by 2 September, Finals by 30 September;
- Preference is for both Finals to be played on the same date at the same venue if possible
