Writtle, 20th July 2008 Following on the disappointing entry for the Team Blitz & Lightning, the ECA Rapidplay Championship a week later, attracted just 16 entries, reduced from 18 by two late withdrawals.
Andrew Lewis, grade 215, clearly outclassed the field and was in uncompromising mood to finish a point clear on 5½/6 having allowed just a half point to Ivan Myall.
