Rules of play

  • “Clock move” applies, as usual with our Team Blitz, “touched piece” DOES NOT APPLY. “Clock move” means that you can change your move, take back a move and even move a different piece, until you have pressed your clock which completes the move.  NB: the opponent must wait until the player’s clock press which completes the move, before replying.
  • Should a player displace any piece this must be corrected in that player’s own time and if on move before clock press;
  • Illegal move loses;
  • Digital clocks in operation:
    • The clocks show a large black flag when one clock has expired its time limit; that player has lost on time;
    • If both clocks are down to zero, the one showing the large black flag expired its time first and that player has lost on time;
  • Players must play on the same board throughout save that where squad rotation applies players must remain in their submitted board order (e.g. 1,2,4,5); round selections must be made when submitting the previous round’s result;
  • ScoringGame Points then tie break of Match Points;
  • Games will NOT be submitted for rating as “clock move” games are not eligible.
