Surrey’s winning streak comes to an end at the hands of Essex Philpott and Kent bounce back with interest including a great swindle on Board 4 that turned the match against Essex Pascoe to give Kent Steele the verdict by 4½-3½. This gives Surrey the advantage going into the final round of games in the Inter.
