A close match. WRITTLE, nearly home after R1, had to resist the LOUGHTON R2 counter in which the visitors came close to reversing their deficit, winning 3-2. The scores on Boards 1 and 2 cancelled out as did 3 and 5. Writtle’s match-winner was Jens Mueller with a double on Board 4.
