At Wanstead. The visitors gave Essex a three game start with defaulted boards and Essex won the contested boards by 6-3, to make it a win double for Essex over Surrey.

The details of the SCCU Counties Championships can now be found on the ECF League Management System, which is coming into its own with its automatic result submission to the ECF rating system. The system has been configured to show the correct Match Points in accordance with the SCCU County Match Rules (2 Match Points for a match win, 1 for a draw) in contradistinction to the previous SCCU website which showed 1, ½, 0.
