Announcing the Essex Online Championship and the ECA Policy for the Playing of Chess Online
The Essex Online Championship is an ECF online standard rated 5-round Swiss tournament(s) in July and August open to those with an association with Essex. In addition to the traditional Open, there will be grade limited sections according to entry. The new ECA online policy and the ECF’s Online Fair Play and Anti-Cheating Rules will apply. Conditions of entry are also set out in the Association’s Policy for the Playing of Chess Online.
This new policy applies to all events run by the Essex Chess Association and to those who play in the Association’s online county teams. In addition to conditions of entry and explaining online play and protocols, it also includes important information about the processing of personal data in this online activity, a code of conduct for players and other safeguarding recommendations.
