The first Essex Online Rapid Championship concluded on Monday after seven weeks and 14 games per player. (There is one pair of postponed games still to play, but they will not affect the leading places.)
The Essex Online Rapid Champion is Russell White, who won with 12/14, ahead of Ashley Freeman, 11½ and Ian Hunnable, 9½. 18 players.
The Essex U1600 Online Champion is Jaideep Cheema, with 11/14, ahead of Shivan Aggarwal, 10½, and Ruqayyah Rida, 9. 18 players.
Congratulations to both Champions and a big thank you to Mark Murrell for a marathon controlling job, single-handed.
